One of the most popular events during the summer at St Canice’s Cathedral is the annual summer camp. This year, the summer camp runs from Monday the 8th of July to Friday the 12th of July. It is suitable for 8–12-year-olds and it is the perfect activity to keep them entertained while learning this summer. Find out more here.

 

Summer Organ Recitals- Free Event

Join St Canice’s music director Harry for this year’s summer organ recitals every Saturday in June. Each recital starts at 5pm and is free to attend.

Ceoltóirí Kilkenny at the Cathedral

Every Tuesday evening from the 18th of June to the 30th of July, the Cathedral will come alive with the sounds and stories of Ceoltóirí Kilkenny. It will include the very best of Irish music, song, dance and storytelling and provides an authentic traditional entertainment experience, captivating audiences and welcoming their participation. Summer Proms- The National Youth Orchestra of Ireland

On July 19th, you can experience an exciting performance by the top 100 young musicians on the island of Ireland at St Canice’s Cathedral. The National Youth Orchestra, conducted by international conductor Ruth Reinhardt and joined by award-winning pianist Fiachra Garvey, presents an ambitious programme as part of its National Summer Proms tour, including Jennah Vainio’s “Sylvia’s Lullaby”, Schumann Piano Concerto and Sibelius Symphony No 2.
